They are the who's who of the international public relations fraternity from 18 countries. David Drobis, chairman of Ketchum PR Worldwide, Alan Vanderolen, president (Asia Pacific), at Edelman PR, Richard Price, head of Euro PR in the United Kingdom and Kathy Cripps president of the Council of PR Firms in the United States.

And they will all be in India on April 10 for the first Public Relations Summit to be organised in Delhi. The summit coincides with the International Communications Consultancy Organisation's board meeting in India.

The ICCO has over 850 members in 24 countries (employing over 25,000 PR experts) and is the key international industry body based in the UK.

ICCO has tied up with the Public Relations Consultants Association of India that is organising the PR meet.

At the summit, discussion will include a roundtable on CEOs' responsibility in building trust and credibility, building and managing the media bridge and a debate on the Al Ries & Laura Ries' famous book, The Fall of Advertising and the Rise of PR.

The fledgling Rs 100-crore (Rs 1 billion) PR agency industry in the country may still be in its infancy, but the seminar will provide PR practitioners an opportunity to meet PR experts from countries like Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, France, Ireland and others including stalwarts from the US and the UK agencies.
