Nandan Nilekani, chief executive officer of IT major Infosys Technologies will be among the world's most prominent business leaders who will address the prestigious 'Fortune 2005 Global Forum' to be held in Beijing from May 16-18.
Nilekani was the only Indian mentioned in a release issued by the organisers of the Fortune 2005 Global Forum.
The three-day Forum, themed 'China and the New Asian Century', will bring together over 300 overseas participants and more than 200 Chinese business and government leaders who will focus on and explore how to sustain the global economic growth and ensure long-term development of a region increasingly central to the interest of world business.
Among the confirmed speakers for the 2005 Forum are Chinese President Hu Jintao, who will deliver the keynote address on May 16; Chinese Vice-Premier Zeng Peiyan, Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai, president and CEO of Wal-Mart International John B Menzer and chairman of the board of management, BMW, Helmut Panke.
"With topics ranging from an analysis of the high-profile Asian auto industry and India's transformation into a key global player to change and development in the media industry and intellectual property rights, the Forum will put the magnitude of economic and social change that has taken place in China and other parts of Asia into perspective," executive director of the Fortune Global Forum, Robert Bierman said.
