Mahindra & Mahindra on Wednesday launched its flagship sports utility vehicle Scorpio in Malaysia.
Scorpio would be marketed in Malaysia through USF-HICOM Sdn Bhd, which is the member of DRB-HICOM, the largest automotive group there, a company release said.
Initially, the SUV would be available at 24 major outlets and gradually across 40 outlets in Malaysia.
"We have conducted extensive market research for better understanding of the Malaysian market and its requirements," vice chairman and MD Anand Mahindra said.
The launch of Scorpio in Malaysia is in tune with M&M's strategy of expanding its reach to overseas markets in bid to increase visibility of the flagship SUV.Scorpio has been launched in South Africa, Europe, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Uruguay and Oman.
