Kyndal India has plans to launch four global liquor brands in the country over the next year.
"We plan to bring global super premium brands like Absolut, White & Mackay, Isle of Jurah and Dalmore into India over the next 12 months. The company, which is eyeing 18 per cent of the super premium market by 2008, already has a license for trade for all these brands," Siddharth Banerji, regional director, Kyndal India, told PTI in New Delhi.
He was speaking at the launch of Absolut Vodka.
Kydal, a wholly owned subsidiary of Whyte & Mackay Plc, was formed two years ago as a marketing and distribution company and it has further entered into an alliance with Shaw Wallace for secondary marketing of world premium brands.
Meanwhile, V&S Absolut Spirits announced a distribution and marketing tie-up with Kyndal India for its super premium vodka brand.
"Absolut is now available duty-free in India. But the consumer demand for Absolut is increasing and therefore we are now broadening the distribution. Together with our distributor Kyndal India, our initial aim is to increase the Absolut presence in top bars, restaurants, hotels and selected liquor shops mainly in Mumbai and Delhi," V&S Absolut Spirits president Bengt Baron said.
