India needs to build on its core strength of samaskaras (values) to achieve the global success and the need of the hour is to introduce new skills and innovativeness in the education system to develop entrepreneurial culture in India.

This was stated by distinguished academician and management scholar Dipak C Jain, Dean, Kellogg School of Management, North-Western University, USA while delivering a lecture at Maharashi Dayanand University in Rohtak on Monday.

Jain spoke on 'Global Competitiveness: Role of India' in the first lecture of the MD University lecture series.

Jain touched upon the key challenges of the future and the areas where India has a competitive advantage over the rest of the world. He said that India has a vital talent pool, well-educated English-speaking youth, a rich cultural heritage, an edge in remote services business and the reputation of Indian Diaspora to bank upon.

He gave a clarion call to promote 'Brand India' so that in the next twenty years the world thinks about India or something Indian at any given moment. He said that global opportunities call for customer-centricity in the coming years.

Jain also answered queries on the edge in remote services business and the reputation of Indian Diaspora to bank upon. He gave a clarion call to promote various issues related to India's role in global competitiveness.

Earlier, vice chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University R S Dhankar delivered the welcome address. He introduced Jain and highlighted his achievements. He also emphasised that the 21st century belongs to East, especially India.
