The assets under management of foreign institutional investors rose from Rs 3,84,491 crore (Rs 3,844.91 billion) in January 2006 to Rs 5,81,087 crore (Rs 5,810.87 billion) as on January, 2007, Rajya Sabha was informed on Tuesday.
The notional value of participatory notesĀ as a percentage of assets under management of FIIs has increased from 30.5 per cent to 34.8 per cent during the period under review, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said in a written reply.
As per information available with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the notional value of PN has increased from Rs 1,17,325 crore (Rs 1173.25 billion) in January 2006 to Rs 2.02,487 crore (Rs 20.2 million) during January, he said.
