ICICI Prudential, in the same league, has joined hands with some institutions to start customised courses.
The curriculum of the course would be in sync with the requirements of the business houses and proper advice from skilled professionals would also be sought, sources from the CT Institute, with which ICICI has tied up, said.
Similarly, another multinational, WNS, has tied-up with state's first private university, Lovely Professional University, to provide company's own designed course, keeping in mind the future requirement of skilled workers and middle rank officials.
The companies have set some conditions for admission to these course viz, written test, group discussion and interview, in addition to 50 per cent marks in the graduation.
ICICI has already given offer letters to the 90 students who have completed the course, Post Graduate Program in Management and Insurance. These students would get a package of Rs 3.15 lakh if they meet the target set by the company.
During their training, the students would also learn the different tactics of communication, insurance management, finance, and the methods of dealing with public to cope up with the competitive, business environment.
ICICI has earmarked 200 seats out of which admission process is on 110 seats. 20 companies, including leading BPO WNS, collectively called 'Aspire', have entered into an agreement with the Lovely group to provide training to the students selected for the course in a special training center in Lovely Professional University.
'Aspire' has also started talks with Pantaloons retail and Maruti, where LPU would train students to satisfy the demands of Maruti for technical professionals.
