Hutch will provide tickets of cricket match between India vs. Sri Lanka at Motera on mobile phones through SMS.
In association with Gujarat Cricket Association and Converge Labs, Hutch has offered M-ticket (mobile ticket) for cricket match for first time in the state, Rajesh Dongre, vice president of sales and marketing operations, Hutch Gujarat, said.
After the success of M-ticket for movie tickets in Vadodara, Amol Patel, CEO of Converge Labs, said that last year M-ticket was tried in Bangalore in India vs. Pakistan cricket match and it was a success.
There are few steps to be followed for security reasons to purchase match tickets through mobile.
"Mobile users should register himself at www.convergelabs.com/gca on the basis of credit card and its expiry date, from where customer will get MPIN, a unique mobile pin number through which mobile transactions would be possible," explained Patel.
After receiving MPIN, mobile user will have to SMS TKT to 4959 and in reply will get the schedule of the five day test match with availability of tickets.
"According to the schedule, customer will have to send an SMS with MPIN and in reply will get barcode, which is confirmed ticket," explained Dongre.
SMS charges will be deducted and tax will be added for the usage of credit card.
Patel ensured that mobile user can purchase five tickets per barcode.
"If a customer wants, can purchase 100 tickets and will have to buy 20 barcodes," said Patel.
According to Hitesh Patel, joint secretary of GCA, initially GCA has allotted 200 tickets per stand costing Rs 100 upward.
"Out of around 50,000 seats, 200 seats from each stand of total 24,000 seats are initially available and if requires more we can extend the limit of the quota," said Hitesh.
However, the M-ticket of the five day test match will be available on for Hutch mobile users.
"This will continue in future for any cricket match across the state," claimed Dongre.
For bulk tickets to corporates, Amol Patel said that M-ticket facility is also available.
"If any corporate needs some 100 tickets or more than that, we have option for it in the schedule," explained Patel.
