The Centre will consider 'all aspects' relating to the Anil Ambani Group promoted special economic zone in Noida before taking a final view on a complaint sent by the Uttar Pradesh government regarding violation of rules in the proposed zone.

"We will take up the issue soon and consider all aspects before taking a final decision," Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath told PTI in New Delhi on Monday.

In one of the first few decisions after assuming office earlier this month, the Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh referred the ADAG promoted SEZ to the Union commerce ministry stating that there was a violation in the proposal.

Scrap Reliance SEZ in UP, says Mayawati

The state government had stated that the violation related to a road dividing the 1,200 acre piece of land on which the multi-product SEZ was proposed to be set up.

The Anil Ambani Group, however, said there was a precedent of SEZs being approved despite the land being non-contiguous and cited Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Jamnagar SEZ in Gujarat as example.

A spokesperson of ADAG Group had also said the group was open to discussing the matter with the state government and resolve the issue.

India's great rush for SEZs
