Honda launches 'self-start' Unicorn

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, India's number one scooter manufacturer, recently launched the 'self-start/electric start' model of Unicorn.

The self-start version of the 4-stroke, 150cc Unicorn, offers the ease of starting up at just the push of a button and will further enhance Unicorn's overall comfort and convenience. The company aims to sell 7500 units of the self-start model by March 2005.

"Honda believes in continuous product enhancement to meet customer expectations. The new Unicorn underlines our commitment to offer our customers the finest products from the Honda stable," said K Iguchi, director (sales and marketing) HMSI.

Customers will have the option to choose from five colours -- Candy Tahitian Blue, Candy Blazing Red, Black, Force Silver Metallic and Geny Grey Metallic.

The Unicorn self-start version comes fully loaded with cutting-edge technologies coupled with sporty and macho design. With a powerful 13.3 bhp engine, Unicorn clocks 0-60 km per hour in an amazing 5 seconds delivering the best pick-up in its class.

It is engineered to ensure a perfect balance of pick up and mileage and delivers an incredible 60 kms to a litre. Fitted with the state-of-the-art Mono-suspension and a strong and flexible Diamond frame, the Unicorn is crafted to render only the smoothest drive. Unicorn meets Bharat stage II norms.
