TDSAT to hear IUC case on April 2

March 10, 2003 13:34 IST

Telecom tribunal on Monday fixed April 2 as the date for hearing of petitions by Association of Basic Telecom Operators, Cellular Operators Association of India, Data Access and Bharti Telesonic against telecom regulator's  interconnection usage charge regime, although it did not give any interim order.

Telecom Dispute Settlement and Appellate Tribunal on Monday asked Telecom Regulatory Authority of India to file its reply on the issue in two weeks by March 24, and directed that the rejoinders be filed by March 31.

The hearing on the case would now be on April 2.

ABTO, COAI, Data Access and Bharti Telesonic had approached TDSAT challenging different aspects of Trai's IUC regime, which comes into effect from April 1.
