Everyone reminisces about their childhood. Those simple times when all was well with the world and nothing could go wrong!

Today is Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday, the day India celebrates as Children's Day.

It's when schools would permit us to ditch our school uniforms and hand out chocolates.

In some schools, children would be allowed to dress up as their favourite character and present them on stage.

What did you do on Children's Day when you were little?

Did you have lots of fun? What did your school do and how did it celebrate the special day?

We'd LOVE to hear from you!

Share your Children's Day memories with us. Write in to getahead@rediff.co.in (subject line: Children's Day memories) and we will publish the best responses right here on Rediff.com. Do also try and send in a picture of you to go with your charming story!
