Unusual summer pics: Jumpin' around!

Next we have this one from Abiran Mookherjee of Singapore, who explains, "I was in Delhi this March and on a visit to the Red Fort, I saw these pigeons resting on the back lawn." Look closer and you will see that they are actually perched on a spotlight used to illuminate the monument at night.

Dr Biswajit Dey contributed this next photograph, stating, "I am an eye specialist by profession. This is a photo taken at a recent eye camp in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. An elderly patient took out a pocket water pouch to relieve himself from the scorching sun, after waiting for long hours in a queue to get his eyes checked."

"Here is a fine pic captured during my trip to the Andaman Islands," says Raveen Kumar R. "The water is crystal clear and the timing is perfect -- you can see the wave slicing through the body."
