We invited you to send in unique summer-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here are a few more responses!

First up we have this image from Pushkar Mandhre of Pune, who says, "This photo was taken in the Jaisalmer sand dunes last week. The temperature is already rising to 45 degrees, but we still had loads of fun there. This picture indicates that we are not bothered about the heat and are welcoming the summer with joy."

Share your interesting summer snapshots with us! They could be from anywhere across India or the world, but they have to be original.

Simply e-mail your photographs to travelpicsga@rediffmail.com (subject line: 'Unusual summer pics') -- we'll publish the most interesting ones on rediff.com and in India Abroad. And make sure to include a little-write up of where you clicked the snap.

Remember, the theme is summer, so your photograph has to gel with the season. Hurry and send in your entry today!

Disclaimer: The photographs featured in this series are, to the best of our knowledge, original entries submitted by readers. Rediff.com does not assume any responsibility for their originality.

Abuzer Daudi contributed this great snap, explaining, "I shot this in Hasserghatta, on the outskirts of Bangalore. The guy in the pic is our very own desi cowboy (charwaha), trying to rest in the shade of his umbrella while keeping his eyes on the cattle and striking a pose for my lens."

And finally, we have this photograph from Raguvaran Samidurai of Chennai, who says, "We think that summer takes a toll on humans only, which is not the case .Here is a snap of a cat near my balcony, hiding his eyes from the sun. He looked so cute that I simply had to click a photo of him on my mobile, even though I was on my way to the office."
