Hit-and-run: Can you help trace his murderer?

39-year-old Vinit Sancheti's life was snuffed out on January 25 by an errant driver. This is an appeal to find his killer.

Around 4pm on January 25, a speeding car mowed down 39-year-old biker, Vinit Sancheti.

The accident took place on Sector 22 Road, opposite Hawre Nirmitte Building, attached to JNPT Bypass in Panvel.

The car, presumably a Suzuki, knocked down Sancheti's motorbike, a black Yamaha.

Sancheti was riding towards Pune from Mumbai when an unknown car emerged from a by-lane, took a right towards Pune and knocked him over from the right-hand-side.

The impact knocked him over, fractured his right leg and hurled him towards a railing, which fractured his left arm and caused a major head injury.

Leaving Sancheti for dead, the unidentified car driver fled the scene, leaving a sole clue -- a hubcap -- on the scene of the crime.

Sancheti was moved to MGM Hospital in Panvel where a team of ten doctors tried to revive him but failed.

Friends of Vinit Sancheti, describe him as someone who loved to travel and made friends easily.

Hailing from Gulabpura, Rajasthan, Sancheti completed his schooling from Mayo, Ajmer and graduation from Mumbai's Sydenham College.

He held a post-graduate degree in Pharmaceuticals Marketing from IES, Mumbai and ran Ostrich Promotions, a media promotions company in Mumbai.

Vinit Sancheti is survived by his parents.
