Readers share memorable pictures of their dads. Share yours too!

With Father's Day coming up on June 19, we invited readers to send in special 'Daddy and Me' pics. Here's the first response from Rajkiran R Nair:

My father was, is and will be my role model and inspiration. I admire his presence of mind and truthfulness. His name is Ramachandran Nair

People say if father works abroad then children would loose love, affection and closeness with him.

I strongly disagree!

My father and I through our hand-written letters (explicitly need to be defined for my daughter's generation) developed the strongest of bonds... bond of friendship...bond of mentorship... His every envelope would have a letter and many small article cuttings from various books/magazines/newspaper. Those were treasure of immense wisdom and knowledge.

Down the memory lane... I see those anxious waits at airports to receive him and those heavy-hearted departures... I see those joyous moments with my friends and them saying me,"You are the lucky one...not everyone gets such a father"... I see the Baghban of our family

I love you Pappa. I pray to God to give everyone such a open and loving father.

For Father's Day, we're inviting our readers to send in 'Daddy and me' pics -- memorable moments captured on camera. What better way to show your dad you care than re-living your memories?

Simply write in to getahead@rediff.co.in (subject line: 'Daddy and Me') with the photograph attached and the little story behind your contribution. We'll be posting the best entries right here on rediff.com all through the week!
