The launch of Kalli Purie's 'weightloss memoir' in Mumbai was one rather unique affair. Check out what happened.
It is being marketed as India's first 'weightloss memoir'.
Confessions of a Serial Dieter by Kalli Purie is a 225 pages long book that pretty much traces how the overweight author lost all the kilos she'd gained over the years.
In the book, Purie a self-confessed serial dieter, says she's gone through 43 different fad diets to finally find a weight she is happy with.
The book launch, held at JW Marriott in Mumbai, saw an interesting mix of Bollywood celebrities as well as faces from the city's Page Three circuit.
Twinkle Khanna and her mother Dimple Kapadia launched the book by opening a refrigerator that held copies of the book along with two bottles of champagne -- one of the diets that pops up in the book is the 'champagne diet'.

It was however Kalki Koechlin's performance -- an inspiration of sorts from Vagina Monologues -- that really made us fall off our seats!
Koechlin launched off in a stream of consciousness style monologue that went from artichokes to butter chicken and ended with her getting an orgasm over dark chocolates!

Good food over good sex?
We sort of did get the whole sex and food comparison that Kalki so brilliantly brought out but we couldn't help resist asking the author what she'd rate higher -- good food or good sex!
