We start off with the sultry Malaika Arora Khan in a one-shouldered cocktail sporting heavy-duty metallic accents -- very much her signature style, wouldn't you say?

Next we have Kajol looking every inch the silver screen siren in a delicate green lace sari and retro hairdo.

Catwalk queen Lisa Haydon cuts a striking figure in a satin sheath dress and dazzling emerald necklace.

Chitrangda Singh is her usual lovely self in a feminine white and pink ethnic ensemble.

Also getting into the desi spirit of things is Abhishek Bachchan, combining a spotless pathani with a sleeveless jacket.

Sonam Kapoor lives up to her fashion icon reputation in this black gold and white gown that's nothing if not haute couture.

Dressed in this stunning white and gold anarkali gown, Prachi Desai definitely had more than a few heads turning in her direction.

Hmmm...looks like Kareena Kapoor missed her mark here. She was going for demure and sophisticated, but ended up plain and dowdy.

Sonakshi Sinha definitely has a jaw-dropping Indian wardrobe, but she may consider shedding the bingo wings, particularly if she's showing her arms through sheer sleeves.

Climbing aboard the monochrome wagon we have Zayed Khan -- and don't his casuals look spiffy?

Akshay Kumar certainly looks handsome in his deep blue pathani, but we're not sure if wifey Twinkle Khanna has overdone it with the gold ruffles -- a Christmas tree comes to mind.

We can't imagine what Soha Ali Khan was thinking when she picked out this disaster of a dress for a recent event. Or maybe she wasn't!

While those cow-print pants are certainly cool, Shamita Shetty ruined them with this fugly fuschia-gold kurta and dupatta. Sigh!

Anchor and model Rochelle Maria Rao's neon-accented anarkali is lovely, but we wish her makeup wasn't also quite as orange!

Emraan Hashmi is rather dashing in his sheen-tinged sherwani, but traditional footwear would have fared way better than those Western formals.

And finally we come to designer and politician Shaina NC, whose pale yellow salwar is pretty enough. But you think she'd have better sense than to accessorise with that ghastly snakeskin clutch and shoes!
