What

Internshala, an online platform that is helping students find summer internships in the country is inviting participation from eligible candidates for its Internfair.

The one-of-its-kind fair which is being organised to commemorate Internshala's first year anniversary will see a series of online competitions where students can win handsome prizes along with internships.

Candidates are invited to participate in 6 online contests namely Social Media Challenge, Business Case Competition, App Design, NSEF Young Thought Leaders, Teach For India Challenge and Treasure Hunt.

Participants stand a chance to win Internships with Berkshire Insurance.com, Proof of Performance Data Services, Teach For India, National Social Entrepreneurship Forum and QuizWorks besides a prize money worth 2,00,000 INR.

Important dates

While the last date to register for App Design and Business Case Competition is January 31, 2012, the deadline for all other competitions is February 10, 2012.

What

The United World Colleges, an international education movement comprising of 13 colleges situated in UK, Singapore, Canada, USA, Italy, Hong Kong, Swaziland, Norway, India, Costa Rica and the Netherlands are inviting applications from students for full and part scholarships for various undergraduate programmes in their respective colleges for the year 2012.

Who can apply

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must satisfy the following conditions:

You must be of Indian origin.

You must be born between September 1, 1994 and February 28, 1997.

You must currently be in either grade X or XI.

How to apply

To obtain an application form, you will need to send a Demand Draft/cheque payable in Mumbai for Rs. 800/- drawn in favour of 'The United World Colleges Committee (India)'.

To obtain the form by post, send a self-addressed envelope (25 cms x 12 cms) affixed with a stamp of Rs 50 to the following address:

Important dates

What

The National Law University, Delhi is inviting applications for its five year B.A.,LL.B.(Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes for the academic year 2012-13 commencing August 2012.

Five-Year B.A., LL.B. (Bachelor of Law Hons.)
Who can apply

Candidates who have completed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with 50percent of marks can apply.

Those appearing for their class 12 examination in March/April, 2012 can also apply.

You must be below 21 years as on 1 July, 2012 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).

Total Seats: 80 [70 seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have 65percent marks in the qualifying examination.

LL.M. (Master of Law)
Who can apply

LL.B. graduates or candidates with an equivalent degree with 55 percent marks (50 percent in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability).

Candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2012 can also apply.

Total Seats: 20 + 5 seats for Foreign Nationals. Foreign Nationals are exempted from Entrance Test.

Ph.D.
Who can apply

LL.M. graduates with 55 percent marks or its equivalent (50 percent in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). For detailed eligibility conditions visit University website.

How to apply

Interested candidates may apply along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only) for General Candidates, Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PD) drawn in favour of  'Registrar, National Law University, Delhi', payable at Delhi along with copies of requisite Caste/PD Certificate.

Important dates

Admission to B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes will be through AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) which will be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna on May 6, 2012, Sunday.

Last date for receipt of applications is April 9, 2012.
