The TVS Jupiter resembles the Honda Activa at the front but it's a Wego underneath which is visible from certain angles.

The turn indicators are mounted on the panel below while the side panels are rounded giving it a seamless appearance.

The rear gets edgy tail lights with LEDs in the stop lamp.

The alloy wheels are black coloured and the Jupiter is an appealing scooter to look at.

The instrument cluster on the Jupiter is all new and doesn't look like the Wego at all.

The easy to read console has a big speedometer and everything here is analogue.

There is an Eco and Power mode which is clearly seen on the left side of the speedometer.

Powering the TVS Jupiter is a 109.7cc, single-cylinder engine which produces 8 PS of power and 8 Nm of torque.

Now this motor is the same unit which powers the Wego but TVS has made subtle changes to the powerplant.

The engine offers the Jupiter very brisk performance and low and mid-range torque is accessible, giving the scooter very linear performance.

The TVS Jupiter is based on the same platform which underpins the Wego and thus the scooter uses the same chassis, tyres and wheels.

Unlike the Activa, Jupiter comes with modern telescopic forks which along with the added weight (4 kgs) and softer dampers give it a very good ride quality.

The Jupiter has a very mature suspension set up and feels stable at speed.

The handling of the TVS Jupiter is very good too and it's a scooter you can have fun by throwing it around corners.

The balance is good and the only chink in its armour are the TVS tyres which lack grip.

U-turn radius is short and manoeuvrability is hassle free. Brakes are decent offering good stopping power.
