A recent entrant in the Indian scooters market Yamaha Scooters has roped in Bollywood's Deepika Padukone to be the brand ambassador for Yamaha Ray that will be launched in August.

As is the norm with brand ambassadors, Deepika will feature in Yamaha Ray advertisements and will be present at the launch of the scooter.

Since Yamaha is targetting young women in their early twenties with the Ray, Deepika would fit into that role quite well.

This is not the first time that a Bollywood actress has been chosen by the scooter manufacturer in India.

Earlier, names like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Anushka Sharma have been hired as brand ambassadors by companies like Hero Motors, Mahindra Two Wheelers and TVS.
