Want an MBA in Media and Management?

Here is your chance to specialise in media, marketing and management.

Whistling Woods International Ltd, an institute for film, television and media promoted by film director Subhash Ghai [Images] and his production house Mukta Arts Ltd [Get Quote], have tied up with Manipal Education to introduce a two-year MBA degree in media and entertainment.

The programme is designed to train young people in film, broadcasting, new and interactive media and event management.

The first year of the programme will be conducted on the Manipal University campus in Bangalore; the programme's second year will be held on the Whistling Woods campus at Film City in Mumbai.

How to apply: Admissions forms are available online (http://www.manipalu.com/ or http://www.whistlingwoods.net/main.asp). Filled in forms should be sent to Manipal University, Bangalore, or Whistling Woods, Mumbai.

Admission criterion: A graduate in any stream for this year. Next year onwards, applicants must be graduates with 55% in any stream.

Candidates this year will be selected on the basis of a personal interview. Next year onwards, an entrance exam will be conducted or the CAT (Common Admission Test) results taken into consideration.

Fee structure: Rs 4.5 lakhs (Rs 4 lakhs + a refundable deposit of Rs 50,000).

Important dates:: Admission forms will be available online from June 1, 2008.

The admission form needs to be submitted by mid July. The course commences by end July or early August.

Job placements: Students will be placed with any of the organisations associated with Whistling Woods.
