What: Hamdard University (Jamia Hamdard) announces its admission notice to the PhD Pharmaceutical Medicine Programme.

About the programme
The only multi-disciplinary training programme of its nature in India, is being run since 1997 in Majeedia Hospital in collaboration with Ranbaxy [Get Quote] Research Laboratories, with the objective to impart a broad-based training to pharmacists in pre-clinical pharmacology and toxicology, clinical pharmacology and clinical pharmacokinetics, clinical research, biopharmaceutics, drug regulation and various aspects of work at the medical department of pharmaceutical industry.

Eligibility
M Pharm (GATE qualified) in Pharmacology/ Hospital Pharmacy/ Clinical Pharmacy/ Pharmaceutics or MBBS degree from recognised institution (preference will be given to MD/ DNB degree holders in Pharmacology/ Medicine/ Clinical Pharmacology) or MSc in Pharmacology.

Seats
There are four seats. One seat is reserved for candidate sponsored by pharmaceutical industry.

Selection procedure
Short-listed candidates will be called for interview.

The admission form can be obtained from Admission Section of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi [Images] on the payment of Rs 300/- in cash or DD of Rs 400/- (by post) in favour of Jamia Hamdard, payable at New Delhi. It can also be downloaded from the university website: www.jamiahamdard.edu/download.asp  

Last date for submission of completed application form is August 21, 2008.
