Accessorise: Timeless silver earrings
July 12, 2007

Whatever else changes in the ever-evolving world of fashion, the charm of silver earrings is timeless.

The beauty of these is that they go as well with a more traditional salwar kurta as they do on a funky t-shirt and jeans. And if the chunky pendant isn't quite your style, opt for some modest studs or trendy hoops (remember, the bigger the better).

If you think silver is only good for casual outings, think again. A pair set off by semi precious stones can give your ensemble just the right touch of elegance.

Most jewellery shops offer designs in silver, but don't miss the roadside stalls that dot most city streets. Stud earrings can start at around Rs 100, while the pendant variety can begin at Rs 250 or so.
