Repolling peaceful, 68 per cent voter turnout

An estimated 68 per cent voter turnout was registered during repolling in 15 booths in seven assembly constituencies in Gujarat on Saturday, according to state election department sources.

The repolling, ordered following complaints of malfunctioning of voting machines and incidents of violence, concluded peacefully in all booths.

Repolling was held in six booths in Anand, three in Sojitra, two in Borsad and one each in Dhrangadhra, Morbi, Dholka and Vagdod.
