A scintillating half century from Ijaz Ahmed helped Pakistan Veterans win the second limited overs match against India Veterans and square the three-match NTPC Goodwill Veterans series 1-1 on Sunday.

Ijaz hit an unbeaten 69 as Pakistan Veterans romped home to a six wicket victory over the hosts at the Karnail Singh Stadium, New Delhi.

After India Veterans made 191 for six, with Vivek Razdan top scoring with an unbeaten 53 that came in 49 balls and included four fours and three sixes, Pakistan Veterans cantered home with Ijaz and Mansoor Akhtar (58 no) sharing a 134-run stand for the unbroken fifth wicket.

India Veterans had won the first match in Jalandhar. The third and final tie will be played in Agra on December 24.

Brief scores:

India Veterans 191 for six in 40 overs (Sameer Dighe 27, Gursharan Singh 45 no, Vivek Razdan 53 no; Mohsin Kamal 2-32, Ali Zia 2-20) lost to Pakistan Veterans 194 for four in 34 overs (Ijaz Ahmed 69 no, Mansoor Akhtar 58 no).
