Aus team's 'toe-biting' post to cheer up injured Johnson

Australia's pace sensation Mitchell Johnson was ruled out of the ICC World Twenty20 because of an infected toe.

He suffered a cut on his right big toe after the third Test against South Africa which became infected when he returned home after the series.

The news came as a blow to Australia's hopes.

To cheer up the fast bowler, his teammates expressed their concern by posting a picture on Twitter, in which Aaron Finch seems ready to bite the toe of James Faulkner.

Johnson has been replaced by Doug Bollinger.

Cricket Australia said Johnson cut his right big toe after the third Test win over South Africa, and after infection set in medication was unable to bring it under control.

The picture posted on the ICC's Twitter account features Johnson's teammates Finch, Faulkner, Cameron White and Glenn Maxwell along with the message: 'Hey Mitch, hope your toe is feeling better, Pooch is hungry.'

Johnson tweeted his thanks in his Twitter reply, saying he loves the picture and that a 'bit of toe jam never hurt anyone'.
