Last updated on: April 24, 2013 12:16 IST

Sachin Tendulkar turns 40 on Wednesday.

Even as the legendary batsman enters the fifth decade of his life, he is still going great guns.

The ‘Master Blaster’ may have decided to quit the one-day version of the game late last year, but looks set to continue playing the longer version.

In fact, he is just two shy of reaching the 200 Tests milestone.

Sachin TendulkarTeam India heads to South Africa later this year and Tendulkar will definitely achieve the feat in the series.

For someone who owns all the major landmarks in cricket, save Sir Don Bradman's average (99.94), it will be yet another testimony of his class and fortitude.
