Zondeki included in South African Test squad

Fast bowling find Monde Zondeki has been included in the South African squad for the first Test against Pakistan starting in Durban on Thursday.

Zondeki, 20, has played just 12 first class matches and made his South African debut in the fifth one day international against Sri Lanka in Bloemfontein on December 6.

The 14-man squad was announced in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday after the second day of the three-day tour match between South Africa A and Pakistan.

It includes recalled but rusty fast bowler Mornantau Hayward and medium pacer Steve Elworthy, who has been selected as cover if Hayward does not prove

his fitness on Tuesday.

Batsman Boeta Dippenaar and left arm spinner Nicky Boje have won back their places in the squad.

Batsmen Martin van Jaarsveld and Ashwell Prince, and left arm spinner Claude Henderson are the casualties from South Africa's previous Test squad against Sri Lanka in the second Test in Centurion in mid-November.

Squad: Shaun Pollock (captain), Mark Boucher, Nicky Boje, Boeta Dippenaar, Steve Elworthy, Herschelle Gibbs, Andrew Hall, Mornantau Hayward, Jacques Kallis, Gary Kirsten, Neil McKenzie, Makhaya Ntini, Graeme Smith, Monde Zondeki.
