Australia's Alan Hurst has been named ICC match referee for the seven-match One-day International cricket series against Sri Lanka, starting October 25.

Former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd will be the match referee for the three-Test series between the two teams in December, the International Cricket Council said in a statement on Monday.

The second match of the Test series, starting December 10, will be Lloyd's 50th as match referee in a career spanning 13 years.

His first match in the role was between South Africa and India at Durban in November 1992, South Africa's first home Test following isolation.

New Zealand's Billy Bowden will be the ICC Elite Panel on-field umpire for the first four ODIs -- at Nagpur (October 25), Mohali (October 28), Jaipur (October 31) and Pune (November 3).

England's Mark Benson will officiate in the last three ODIs at Ahmedabad (day/night, November 6), Rajkot (November 9) and Vadodara (November 12).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India also named its umpires to stand alongside the ICC Elite Panel officials. They are -- 1st ODI: K Hariharan (on-field) and I Shivram (3rd umpire); 2nd ODI: A V Jayaprakash and Shivram; 3rd ODI: Hariharan and Jayaprakash; 4th ODI: Jayaprakash and Shivram; 5th ODI: Hariharan and Shivram; 6th ODI: Jayaprakash and Hariharan; 7th ODI: Hariharan and Jayaprakash.

The ICC also named its umpires for the three-Test series between India and Sri Lanka in December.

Benson will be joined by Daryl Harper of Australia from the Elite Panel as on-field umpire in the first match of the three-Test series, scheduled to begin on December 2.

Elite Panel umpire Simon Taufel of Australia will stand alongside International Panel Umpire Nadeem Ghauri of Pakistan in the second Test, to start on December 10.

In the third Test, starting December 18, Taufel will be replaced by Bowden, who will be joined by Asad Rauf, like compatriot Ghauri, a member of ICC's International Panel.

The venues for the three Tests are yet to be announced.
