Delhi shrugged off its off-field controversies to kick-start its Ranji Trophy limited-overs campaign with a crushing 10-wicket victory over Jammu and Kashmir at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground in Delhi on Friday.

After Ishant Sharma captured four for 34 to shut out the visitors for a paltry 106, Shikhar Dhawan hit an unbeaten 55 to pilot Delhi home in less than 16 overs.

Aakash Chopra was the other unbeaten opener with 43 while Suhail Sharma pitched in with three for 18.

At the Harbaksh stadium, North's powerhouse Punjab put up a dominant display in overwhelming Haryana by eight wickets.

Shafiq Khan (45) and Sumit Sharma (36) came to the rescue of Haryana and lifted the team's total to 196 for nine in a match reduced to 43 overs aside following a delayed start due to bad light.

Ravneet Ricky (80) and Sonny Sohel (40) then guided them home with nearly 17 balls to spare.

Punjab captain Dinesh Mongia contributed with bat and ball, picking 3-27 and scoring 43 not out.

In another weather-hit match, Services' decision to field backfired as Himachal posted a competitive 213 for eight and then restricted the home team to 168 for nine in 40 overs.

Sangram Singh (93) and Sandeep Sharma (59) laid the foundation for Himachal while left-arm spinner Vishal Bhatia claimed 4-29 to rein in Services.
