Andhra fought back after being dismissed for 159 in the Ranji Trophy Super League match against Hyderabad taking five wickets on the opening day in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Hyderabad were reduced to 52 for five at close.

Electing to bat, Andhra lost wickets of LNP Reddy (0), ASK Varma (1) and captain MSK Prasad (6) quickly.

Opener HH Watekar (38), Y Gnaneswara Rao (42), AG Pradeep (22) and B Sumanth (25) were the only batsmen to make a decent score.
