Pietersen may be included in squad for India series

England [ Images ] is likely to recall star batsman Kevin Pietersen [ Images ] for next month's ODI trip to India [ Images ].

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will name the squad on Tuesday for the five-match series and a Twenty20 [ Images ] match.

Pietersen was 'rested' during the recent home ODI series against India, the one-off clash with Ireland and the two Twenty20 fixtures against the West Indies [ Images ].

According to Sky Sports, with the 2012 World Twenty20 taking place in Sri Lanka [ Images ], England will be keen to utilise any practice on slow, turning sub-continental tracks and would want Pietersen in tow unless they considered him dispensable for that event.
