Ayaz was seriously injured in a motobike crash on Sunday last on the Outer Ring Road of Hyderabad and his condition was very critical since then.

This is a twin tragedy for Azhar's family as his sister's son Ajmal-ur-Rahman also died in the same accident.

While pillion rider Ajmal died on the spot, Ayaz was brought to Hospital with no pulse or heart beat. However doctors resuscitated him.

He had suffered extensive internal injuries including bleeding from lungs and one kidney. His liver, spleen and intestines were also damaged. The brain was also asphyxiated due to lack of oxygen supply for a long time, doctors said.

A team of experts tried to save him but could not succeed.

Young Ayaz was a promising cricketer in whom many saw the glimpse of Azharuddin and his stroke play. A fond father had gifted the Rs 13 lakh motor cycle on Id a fortnight ago.

Ayaz was Azhar's son from his first wife Naureen and she was completed devastated by the sudden turn of events. Naureen who lives in Dubai after her divorce, rushed to the city after the accident.
