Rumeli Dhar scored an unbeaten 66 as the Indian eves beat their England counterparts by eight wickets in the Twenty20 International match in Derby on Saturday.

Electing to field, India restricted England to 107 for eight in the stipulated 20 overs, thanks to some brilliant fielding by the visitors that resulted in five run outs. Medium pacer Jhulan Goswami was the most successful bowler with figures of two for 14 in four overs.

Jennifer Gunn was the topscorer for England with 38.

India reached the target with four balls to spare for the loss of two wickets. After opener Sulakshana Naik fell before a run was scored, Dhar and Mithali Raj (28) blunted the England attack and secured the victory for India.

Player of the match Dhar's 69-ball innings was studded with six boundaries.

The defeat was England eves' third loss in a Twenty20 international in as many matches.
