Bedi slams Nagpur pitch, salutes Amarnath and Dravid

Former India [ Images ] captain Bishan Singh Bedi [ Images ] blasted the pitch being used in the ongoing fourth Test against England [ Images ] at Nagpur, calling it "disgraceful", and the Indian team's strategy "myopic".

The legendary left-arm spinner, always forthright in his opinion, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to criticize the 22-yard strip that saw England crawl to 199 for 5 after 97 overs on Day 1 of the match.

"Another disgraceful pitch in Nagpur-Indns may've to pay fr myopic strtgy- Dhoni welcome dig own grave-why take Indn crkt along?BCCI silent?!," Bedi wrote on his Twitter page.

He also praised Mohinder Amarnath, for coming out in the open and speaking about Mahendra Singh Dhoni's [ Images ] captaincy controversy, and Rahul Dravid [ Images ], for stating that Indian players "lack technique and ability".

"Salute Jimmy Amarnath & Dravid fr their honest upright views on Indn crkt presently-truth must surface even in untruthful times.....!!!!!"
