Kumble gets two stitches on finger October 31, 2008 19:55 IST India skipper Anil Kumble [Images] received stitches on the little finger of his left hand which he injured while fielding, during the third day's play in the third Test against Australia [Images], but the veteran leg-spinner will be back to his bowling ways on the fourth and penultimate day of match. Kumble sustained the injury when he dived in an attempt to catch Matthew Hayden [Images] off Amit Mishra. He was fielding at short mid-wicket in the 53rd over of Australia's innings, but ended up suffering a half-inch deep cut on his little finger. "Kumble was rushed to the Apollo hospital where he got a couple of stitches as the cut was deep. But he will be back on the field tomorrow; there is nothing to worry," said the team's logistics manager Russell Radhakrishnan after the day's play.
