387 Target set by England [Images] for India to win. The highest fourth innings score on Indian soil is 364 for 6 by India against Pakistan at Delhi [Images] in 1979-80 (while chasing a victory target of 390).

214 Runs added by Andrew Strauss [Images] and Paul Collingwood [Images] -- the highest fourth-wicket partnership for England in India. The pair bettered the 206-run partnership between Ken Barrington and Ted Dexter at Kanpur in 1961-62.

117 Runs added by Gautam Gambhir [Images] and Virender Sehwag -- the second highest opening partnership for India at home in the fourth innings of a Test.

64 Number of sixes hit by Virender Sehwag in Test cricket -- most by an Indian. He went ahead of Kapil Dev [Images], who hit 61 in 131 Tests.

32 Balls taken by Sehwag to race to his fifty -- second fastest by any Indian in Test cricket after Kapil Dev's 30-ball fifty against Pakistan at Karachi in 1982-83.

5 Number of century partnerships put on by Gambhir- Sehwag pair. Only Chetan Chauhan and Sunil Gavaskar [Images] have put on more for the opening wicket for India (10).

2 Andrew Strauss became the second English batsman (after Graham Gooch) to score century in both innings of a Test against India. He is the first Englishman and only the fourth visiting batsman to do so on Indian soil after Everton Weekes, Duleep Mendis and Gary Kirsten.
