Delhi take opening day's honours November 23, 2007 18:08 IST Delhi took the opening day's honours in the Ranji Trophy Super League Group A match being played at the Wankhede Stadium here today. The hosts won the toss and opted to bat first but couldn't make good use of the conditions. Their first innings folded up for just 166, with P Naik (40) contributing a majority of those runs. Ajit Agarkar [Images] chipped in with 32. Pradeep Sangwan and Ishaant Sharma were the most successful bowlers for the visitors claiming three wickets apiece. Delhi were 159/4 at the close of day's play, needing just eight more runs to take a first innings lead. In form Gautam Gambhir [Images] was unbeaten on 81 while Aavishkar Salvi chipped in with two wickets for the hosts.
