Glenn McGrath claimed his 500th wicket in Tests when he dismissed England [Images] opener Marcus Trescothick [Images] on day one of the first Ashes Test at Lord's in London [Images] on Thursday.

Trescothick was caught off the first ball after the tea interval, by Justin Langer in the slips, for 4.

Earlier, Steve Harmison took 5 for 43 to bowl out Australia for 190.

The famed Aussie batting lasted just 40.2 overs as Andrew Flintoff [Images] and Simon Jones claimed two wickets each.

McGrath, 35, is fourth on the list of Test wicket-takers, behind Shane Warne [Images] (583), Muttiah Muralitharan (539) and Courtney Walsh [Images] (519).
