Madan Lal named Delhi coach

Former India coach Madan Lal was appointed coach of the Delhi Ranji Trophy team.

The former all-rounder will have M S Jaggi as his assistant, a Delhi and District Cricket Association statement said on Tuesday.

Former Test batsman Yashpal Sharma will head the selection committee for the Ranji team while Sunil Dev will function as its convenor.

Other members of the committee are Venkat Sundaram, Vivek Razdan, Sunil Khanna and Bantu Singh.

Tarak Sinha has been appointed Cricket Advisor.
