Reaching century with a six

Rajneesh Gupta | October 17, 2004 16:07 IST

Australia's Damien Martyn played one of his best innings on day four of the second Test against India in Chennai on Sunday.

Not only did Martyn score his maiden Test century against India, he reached the three-figure mark in grand style --  hoisting Anil Kumble for a huge six over long off.

Martyn, in the course, became the 15th batsman (on 16th occasion) to perform this feat against India. Pakistan's Imran Khan is the only batsman to have done so twice, while Anil Kumble is the only Indian to suffer this fate thrice.
