India and Pakistan are close to resuming cricketing ties with the Indian team's scheduled tour of Pakistan next year. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is only awaiting government permission to allow the national team to play a series of one-day matches in Pakistan and India in September and a three-match Test series next year.

But with Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani blaming Pakistan for the Mumbai bomb blasts, should the two Asian cricketing giants resume playing cricket?
