Global growth in wine consumption is being driven by demand in the United States, Russian and China. Total consumption of wine has increased by 3.7 per cent since 2007.

The Chinese alone drank 20 per cent more in 2011 than they did in 2010.

Let's take a look at the biggest consumers of wine in the world, according to The Economist.
