Villagers refuse to give land for Reliance power project

Reliance PowerVillagers on Thursday refused a dialogue with the Koderma district administration on land acquisition for a 4000 MW Reliance Power Project.

Accompanied by officials, deputy commissioner Shiv Shankar Tiwari went to Paparwa village to hold

talks with villagers, Land Acquisition Officer Zayan Prakash Minz told reporters in Koderma.

The DC had called the people of nine villages for talks, but they refused the overture, he said.

A total of 971 acre, including private land, have been identified in the Jainanagar block of the district for the reliance power project, he said.
