About 200 young, enthusiastic nature and wildlife lovers on Tuesday ran 22 kilometers along the National Highway 37 that strikes along the Southern boundary of famous Kaziranga National Park taking part in the first Kaziranga Green marathon organised on the occasion of World Environment Day.

A female rhino, aged about 30 years, that had been swept ashore a sandbar near Sualkuchi in Assam by flood waters on September 30, was finally tranquilised and shifted to the safety of Assam State Zoo in Guwahati for treatment of its injuries before it is being released in the wild of its original habitat, Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary.

A treat for bird lovers! The National Audubon Society announced the winners of the 2020 Audubon Photography Awards. Known the for highlighting some of the most spectacular bird photography in the world, this year's contest winners did not disappoint. This year's winners were selected from over 6,000 submissions that came in from photographers across all 50 United States, Washington DC, and seven Canadian Provinces. The goal of the awards is to highlight images that "evoke the ingenuity, resilience, and beauty of birds small and large, terrestrial and aquatic." We'll let you decide if they succeeded.
