The wife of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani, Soofiya Madani, arrested in connection with the Tamil Nadu bus burning case, was on Wednesday granted conditional bail by a court in Kochi, Kerala.
The Bangalore police will seek the custody of Soofiya Madani, wife of Kerala-based Islamic leader Abdul Nasser Madani, in relation with the Bangalore blasts case.
The National Investigation Agency on Friday filed a chargesheet against suspected Laskhar-e-Tayiba operative T Nazeer and Soofiya Madani, wife of People's Democratic Party leader Abdul Naseer Madani, and 11 others over the burning of a Tamil Nadu state transport bus at Kalamassery in suburban Kochi on September 9, 2005.
A court in Kerala on Friday denied bail to People's Democratic Party leader Abdul Madani's wife Soofiya Madani, an accused in the 2005 Tamil Nadu bus burning case, and remanded her in 14-day judicial custody.
In a new twist to the burning of a Tamil Nadu state-owned bus near Kochi in September 2005, Soofiya Madani, wife of Peoples Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani, was on Friday listed as an accused in the case, even as the Kerala high court declined to grant anticipatory bail to her. Assistant Commissioner of Police P M Varghese, who is heading the investigation in the case, filed a report in the Aluva Judicial First Class magistrate court today.
