Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Anurag Thakur on Friday ruled out any possibility of resumption of India-Pakistan cricketing ties after the recent Pakistan-backed terror attack on Uri, Jammu and Kashmir. Thakur called Pakistan a 'sponsor of terrorism' and said there was 'no question of playing cricket with such a nation'. "Priority is to expose Pakistan as a country which sponsors terrorism. No question of playing cricket which such a nation", Thakur said
The former India captain admitted he had no idea about his role as the new chairman of the National Cricket Academy.
In his first Test in 1989, Sachin Tendulkar was up against a Pakistan pace attack comprising Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. Tendulkar, at that point in time, felt he was not good enough for international cricket.
