Ending a year-long tussle with the government, the Indian Institutes of Management on Wednesday agreed to provide 'all types of support' for setting up six new B-schools in the country which are expected to start functioning from the coming academic session.

"We will increase the fee from Rs 2,50,000 per annum at present to Rs 400,000 per year from 2009-10 academic session. The fee will be Rs 400,000 each year during the two-year programme," IIM Lucknow director Prof Devi Singh told PTI.

The driver of slain IIM professor Amrita Panchal was on Tuesday taken into custody by the Madhya Pradesh Police in connection with her murder. Anil Patel was questioned on Monday night for his alleged role in the murder and was taken into custody today morning, said the police.
