World Wide Web Consortium, engaged in development of common protocols on the web and ensuring interoperability, on Thursday opened its office in India - its 15th in the world.
During the conference, the W3C India Office would also be launched to promote and accelerate the participation from India in W3C standards, an official statement said in New Delhi on Friday.
India will have 100 million Internet users and 20 million broadband connections by 2008-2010, Brajesh kumar, secretary, department of information technology, said on Monday.
